Built for trust, first

  • Vetted people

Identity verification for everyone, and background checks by a licensed provider when the work calls for it.

  • Video answers

Ask your questions. Workers answer in short videos that only the people they match with can watch.

  • No lead fees

Matching is free on both sides. Checks are offered at cost.

  • Bilingual by design

The whole app is available in French and English. Show which languages you speak.

  • Montréal first

We open city by city, starting with Montréal, so we can do it properly close to home.

Frequently asked questions

When will Coup de Main open?

We open in Montréal first, once enough verified workers have joined in each category. People on the waitlist hear first.

Does it cost anything?

No. Joining, matching and messaging are free. Checks such as identity verification are offered at cost. We never charge lead fees.

How are people vetted?

Identity is verified by a specialised provider with a photo ID and a selfie. Background checks are run by a licensed provider, with your consent, and you see your results first.

Who can watch the videos?

Only the people you match with. Videos are never public and are never scored by an algorithm.

Is it for businesses too?

Yes. Small businesses such as offices, cafés and short-term rentals will be able to post jobs and manage several locations.

What do you do with my email?

We only use it to tell you when we open in your city and to track your referrals. It is stored in Canada and never sold. You can unsubscribe at any time.
